This beautiful detached holiday cottage is set within the walled gardens of Quinta das Ondas (house of the waves). This is one of the sunniest sites on Madeira, close to the sea and situated way down in the banana belt so it is much warmer. The cottage has been built to take maximum advantage of the sea views from the bedroom and lounge with additional views of the mountains and banana plantations from the side bedroom window. The verandah offers a relaxing location to sit overlooking the gardens and out to sea whilst enjoying your breakfast or that well-earned sunset glass of wine. Perfect for a walking holiday, a great base for driving and particularly suited as a special romantic getaway. Marina for boat trips / fishing and golf courses available.The yellow sandy beach at Calheta is only 15 minutes walk (5 mins. by car) away. Selection of restaurants, bars, banks, supermarket, etc also close by.
